The 2014 Pathfinder S is outfitted with a sprightly 3.5L DOHC V6 motor. It generates 260 horses and 240-lb.-ft. of torque. While this is some great raw power, performance on this SUV is really a one-two punch courtesy of the addition of the Xtronic two-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT). It mimics the crispness of automatic operation but instead delivers limitless gear ratios. In short, you wonâ€™t be feeling any jerkiness as you rev up the engine and accelerate.
