These guys don’t communicate with each other. We wasted hours at the dealership test driving and getting a contract worked out and at the last minute we were told, “ oh this truck was sold 2 days ago”. We had taken a ferry into the city specifically to purchase this truck. How hard is it for the sales guys to put a sold sign on a vehicle? You would think they would have a bulletin board with inventory sales listed. Unacceptable!

buy a Nissan Frontier in KirklandKirkland, let’s talk about “overlanding.”

“Overlanding” is outdoor adventuring experienced by individuals willing to endure harsh conditions and traverse extreme terrains. Typically, all such attempts at previous
overlanding were accomplished with super expensive, modified trucks and SUVs—however, Nissan felt they could do better. They got to work, and the result of their efforts has led to the “Destination Frontier,” a one-off truck design that was created for only $40,000.

The designers at Nissan started with a 2019 Frontier Crew Cab SV 4x4 Midnight Edition as a base and then modified accordingly. Changes include the addition of Nitto Trail Grappler off-road tires, American Racing AX201 wheels, a 3-inch Nisstec lift kit, and body/drivetrain protection, among other tweaks.

A little information on that standard 2019 Nissan Frontier that the Destination is based upon (and that can actually be experienced at dealerships nationwide): It comes with a 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine that pushes out 261 horses and 281 lb-ft of torque. It can also tow up to 6,720 pounds.

buy a nissan in kirklandIn case you aren’t aware, “overlanding” is a form of outdoor adventuring that has its participants cross extreme terrains and endure wild climate conditions. Traditionally, it’s solely been the domain of uber-expensive modified SUVs and trucks… but no longer. Nissan’s “Destination Frontier” one-off truck is ridiculously capable for these situations—and was created for only approximately $40,000.

The Nissan crew began with the 2019 Frontier Crew Cab SV 4x4 Midnight Edition as a base and went from there. Modifications include body/drivetrain protection for off-roading and associated obstacles; improved ground clearance; a 3-inch Nisstec lift kit; and Nitto Trail Grappler off-road tires with American Racing AX201 wheels, among other tweaks.

In its unmodified base form, the 2019 Nissan Frontier offers a 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine that cranks out 261 horses and 281 lb-ft of torque. With it, the Frontier can tow up to 6,720 pounds.

The amazing Nissan Destination Frontier will be displayed at the 2019 Overland Expo West on May 17 - 19 at Ft. Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, Arizona. Call us to learn more today!
nissan frontier dealership seattle tacoma newcastle kent washingtonAccording to an online article by Automotive News, a next-generation Nissan Frontier will debut in the fall of 2020 as a 2021 model, boasting a redesign that hasn’t seen a major update since it was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model.

Based on their sources, the new Frontier will sport “futuristic” styling that will “still look like a truck.” It will continue to ride on its F-Alpha truck platform due to cost and size issues and not adopt the global Navara platform, which is sold overseas and is not well-suited to the needs of North American drivers. Under the hood, the optional 261-horsepower
4.0-liter V6 engine will be replaced by a new 3.0-liter engine rated at approximately 300 horsepower, thus placing the Frontier near the top of its class. The automatic transmission will also be refreshed with the addition of two extra gears for a total of seven.

The Frontier is popular with midsize truck enthusiasts due to its long-standing heritage and competitive pricing. It’s the only pickup that sells, on average, for less than $30,000 in a segment where the average transaction price last year was $32,800, according to J.D. Power.

As more details are released about the forthcoming Frontier, we’ll be sure to share the news right here on our blog. In the meantime, if you have questions, feel free to contact us at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to discuss the Frontier’s specs, trim levels and pricing.

2019 nissan frontier dealer in renton bellevue seattle washingtonAccording to The Drive, a new Nissan Frontier is on its way. The online news outlet spoke with Fred DePerez, Vice President of Nissan North America LCV Business Group, at a Titan event in Jackson Hole and he was quoted as saying that a new Frontier is "well underway" and that consumers “won't be disappointed with it."

This is the first confirmation to surface of a new Frontier pickup. As a key component of Nissan’s strategy, the truck is a mid-size platform that acts as a gateway to the brand. While many drivers find the Frontier’s specs to be well-suited to their needs, others may opt to upgrade to a larger Titan for its best-in-class standard horsepower and 5 year/100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Last year, Nissan sold 79,646 Frontiers across the United States, which certainly confirms the truck’s popularity with fans, even if the platform hasn’t seen a redesign since 2004. However, not one to rest on their laurels, this sounds like a great opportunity for Nissan to enhance its mid-size offering to further bolster sales for the Frontier, but other Nissan trucks too, like the Titan.

As more details are released, we’ll share the news right here on our blog. In the meantime, if you’d like to check out the 2019 Frontier for yourself, our team at Kirkland Nissan would be happy to arrange a test drive at our dealership in Seattle, Washington.

new nissan frontier for sale seattle bellevue waPrepare yourself, Tacoma. The new generation of pick-up performance will soon begin - with Nissan pushing its 2020 Frontier ever-closer to the production line. This platform promises segment-leading capability; and critics are already rallying for its arrival.

Are you ready?

According to TFL Car, the new Frontier will arrive next fall - and it will bring a bevy of upgrades with it. While the current inline-four engine is expected to make the transition (promising up to 152 HP and 171 lb.-ft of torque), the six-gear transmission is not. Nissan is rumored to be creating a seven-speed automatic option, which will deliver enhanced shifting and smoother responses. A turbocharger is also anticipated, taking full advantage of the 4,000 RPM redline; and the chassis should be shortened, with critics predicting a more compact frame to compete with the upcoming Ranger (the dimensions are rumored to be 179-inches in length, 73-inches in width, and 75-inches in height; and this would share characteristics with the brand’s overseas model, the Xterra).

Unfortunately, the possibility of a diesel Frontier is not considered likely. TFL Car reports that Nissan has made no plans to fuse this truck with the 2.8L four-cylinder engine drivers have been hoping for. That option will have to wait a while longer.

The 2020 Frontier promises to deliver premium performance to the Tacoma market - and we’re counting the days until this truck revs onto our lot. To learn more about it (or to request a test-drive in one of our current Nissan models) contact us today.
new nissan frontier for sale seattle bellevue waThe name proves imposing - with Nissan dubbing its latest Frontier the Sentinel. Such a strong title, you think, will surely pair with an equally strong pick-up.

You would be correct.

According to Top Speed, the 2018 Frontier Sentinel has made its official debut - thrilling audiences at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. This hulking platform (which is intended to serve as a search and rescue vehicle) delivers bold all-terrain styling. A raised suspension creates a sport-ready effect, yielding an approach angle of 33-inches; while the 60-inch bed features a custom liner to defend against the elements. A winch anchors the front bumper, allowing for seamless towing; wrap-around LED lighting cuts through the dark; and a snorkel has been integrated into the A-Pillar, enabling drivers to quickly launch riverside expeditions. Custom storage drawers flank the sides, organizing ropes and harnesses with ease; and an auxiliary battery pack rests at the rear to provide extra power on long excursions.

To further ensure successful search operations, the Sentinel also features 16-inch all-season tires - allowing the truck to roll smoothly over any terrain.

The 2018 Frontier Sentinel will prove the ultimate rescue vehicle - and we hope that Nissan will bring this truck to the Kirkland backroads. To learn more contact us today!
2019 nissan frontier seattle tacoma kirkland washingtonEarlier this week, Nissan unveiled its latest concept truck called the Frontier Sentinel at the 2018 São Paulo Motor Show. Designed by the automaker’s Brazilian styling studio, the truck is being re-imagined as a next-decade rescue truck well-suited to all types of punishing terrain.

Under its rugged body, the Frontier Sentinel is equipped with Nissan Leaf battery packs, which can deliver auxiliary power in dark conditions, whether deep in the jungle or the mountains at night. There is also a custom cargo bed that features drawers for rescue gear, like ropes, axes, flashlights and toolboxes, as well as a deployable platform that a search drone can take off and land on.

On the exterior, the truck features a colorful design that was inspired by a South American parrot species, known as the hyacinth macaw. Knobby tires and bulky wheels also add to its aggressive looks. For deep water crossings, the Frontier Sentinel boasts a snorkel and a specialty lighting system on top of the windshield. Inside the cabin, the truck features a vibrant yellow dashboard, seat trim, stitching and a central console, which were inspired by electric circuits.

In the face of disaster, the Frontier Sentinel is ready to spring into action! To learn more about this latest concept truck or to test drive a new Frontier, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to discuss.
2019 nissan frontier for sale seattle bellevue waWith mid-size cabins come low expectations. You peer warily inside a truck, certain that you’ll be greeted by cramped spaces and limited storage - with no spare inches to indulge in. This is the sad truth you’ve come to rely on.

The 2019 Frontier offers a new kind of certainty.

As Car and Driver explains, Nissan defies all spacial standards - fusing its Frontier with class-leading cabin capability. Despite its mid-size profile (206-inches long, 73-inches wide, and 69-inches high), this pick-up yields ample cargo options. Its split-folding rear seats can accommodate up to 10 pieces of standard carry-on luggage (22 x 14 x 9 inches each), while its convenient bed offers up to 73.3-inches of additional storage. Integrated pockets line the cushions; a center-mounted console boasts deep bins and customizable trays; and a series of forward compartments allows for easy everyday support.

Nissan has tailored the Frontier for cargo demands - and this extends to the bed height. Experience the lowest lift-height on the market, with Car and Driver noting that passengers need only to raise their arms 32-inches to achieve rear storage success. No longer struggle with heavy suitcases and cumbersome boxes. Instead take advantage of a hip-level configuration that provides seamless access.

The 2019 Frontier proves perfect for Sumner storage needs. To learn more about this pick-up contact our team today!
2019 nissan frontier truck dealer seattle washingtonWe all love pickup trucks for their incredible horsepower, hauling capabilities and rugged performance. But where they can be overlooked is their cargo capacity and storage. However, more families are turning to the mid-size pickup segment for its practicality and utility at home and on the jobsite. If you’ve been looking to challenge convention by trading in your minivan for a truck, consider the 2019 Nissan Frontier as your next family vehicle.

According to a review by Car and Driver, the 2019 Frontier earns four-out-of-five stars for cargo space and storage. Their experts gave the truck a thumbs up for its ability to swallow up luggage in the Crew Cab model, plus the inclusion of smart cubbies throughout the cabin to hold smaller odds and ends.

In fact, the larger Crew Cab body design of the Frontier can hold up to 10 carry-on suitcases behind the first row, which is quite impressive when you think about it. The Crew Cab bed also offers additional storage with a length of 59.5 inches; however, if that’s not enough, the King Cab boasts 73.3 inches for added versatility. In both options, the Frontier features a bed liftover height of 32 inches, which makes loading and unloading a snap. Whether you need to haul hockey equipment to the rink, suitcases to the airport, or coolers to the campsite, the Frontier makes easy work of it all.

2019 Frontiers are expected to hit out inventory soon. To pre-book your test drive in this incredible platform, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, today.
2019 nissan frontier for sale in seattle washingtonThe 2019 Frontier is holding strong to its status as America’s most affordable pickup. Nissan recently announced pricing for the forthcoming model and it will feature the same starting MSRP of $18,990 as its 2018 predecessor. The 2019 model will also offer a Midnight Edition Package for those truck enthusiasts that want to inject more style into their Frontier. The kit is nicely-equipped with 18-inch gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels, body-color front and rear bumpers, a gloss black grille, black badging, black door handles, semi-gloss black step rails, and black outside rearview mirrors. Consumers can choose from three exterior colors – Glacier White, Magnetic Black, and Gun Metallic.
