In our previous entry here, we mentioned how Willows Lodge in Woodinville was a fantastic destination for a romantic getaway. Of equal interest to those that want to spend some quality time with someone they love is Salish Lodge and Spa.

Salish Lodge and Spa in Snoqualmie Falls is only a half-hour from Seattle. First built in 1916, it’s a hotel that’s been completely renovated for modern times. This state park is located in both Kirkland and Kenmore, Washington and offers 316 acres to explore. A member of the Washington State Park System, it features forests comprised primarily of Western Redcedar, Bigleaf Maple, Pacific Madrone, Coast Douglas-fir, and Western Hemlock. There’s a boatload of trails for hikers and cyclists to enjoy, and if you have kids, you’re in luck—it offers the largest children’s playground in Washington, built by volunteers in 2003.
