Seattle will thank you for driving an earth-friendly vehicle. Electric cars are the way of the future, and they do a lot for the planet. If you want to get in on the ground floor of the green movement, the affordable 2018 Leaf is for you.
This Nissan was designed with a fully electric power system, running on a completely clean 110kW AC synchronous motor engine. Even though it doesn’t use gasoline, the Leaf boasts an impressive 147 horsepower and 236 joules of torque.
Worried about reliability? The vehicle comes standard with a Quick Charge cable and a lithium ion traction battery that includes a 6.6 kW onboard charger. It takes just thirty minutes of time plugged in to juice up for a 90 mile trip. You’ll get about 150 miles per full charge.
Consumer reviewer Alex on Autos appreciates a lot about the new Leaf, including its great display of how much energy is left in its reserves, as well as its overall battery health indicator. With an electric car, it’s important to know where you stand at all times.
