Welcome back to our Nissan consumer reviews section, Seattle and Kirkland residents! This week, let’s kick things off with a look at a sensational four-door sedan—the 2017 Altima 2.5 S. It dazzles and delights with an impressive engine and some high-tech in-cabin refinements.
This car is quick, smooth, and easy to handle. It comes packed with a 2.5L four-cylinder that creates 179 HP and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. This is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Now, if you’re not familiar with CVTs, you should know that it results in a driving experience that’s even smoother than an automatic and with just as little fuss. And this powertrain comes with another bonus—an EPA-estimated 27 city/39 highway average MPG.
This 2017 Altima 2.5 S steps up in other respects, too. It comes with quick-start keyless ignition for those times you’re in a rush. Bluetooth connectivity enables hands-free phone calling; fortunately, you can also keep your mobile charged via the cabin’s USB port. Additionally, the five-inch in-dash monitor and rearview camera help improve visibility when you’re backing up.
