If you’re searching for something to do this upcoming March, why not plan a weekend getaway to Port Townsend?
Located on the Olympic Peninsula, Port Townsend is a haven for artists and outside-the-box thinkers. It’s also picturesque and historic, acting as a Victorian seaport with gorgeous architecture. There’s plenty to do and enjoy, including an awesome collection of eclectic shops that include galleries and locally-made jewelry (remember, there are a ton of artisans here). The local pub, Sirens, offers regional musicians performing bluegrass, rock, county, and more. Make sure you enjoy the local fare, including items such as free-range eggs, goat cheeses, and freshly caught salmon at the various eateries in the town. And feel free to wash it all down at Propolis and Port Townsend Brewing—there’s plenty of locally brewed craft beer. (Note: While Port Townsend is less than a two-hour journey, taking the Edmonds — Kingston ferry is required.)
Speaking of, why not rumble your way out to the ferry in the 2019 Nissan Titan? It’s a superior truck that’s packed with a 5.6L V8 that produces 390 horses and comes packing a towing capacity of upwards of 9,200 pounds. Plus, fuel economy remains solid at an average MPG of 21 highway.
