If you want a hard-hitting, three-row SUV that can fit up to eight people and tow up to 8,500 pounds, a 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum is an alluring choice. We recently added a preowned model to our inventory – don’t you think it’s time to take one for a spin at Kirkland Nissan?

Upon first glances, one thing you’ll quickly notice is that the 2017 Armada features many of the same styling notes of its pricier Infiniti QX80 cousin. But, despite the Armada’s more affordable price tag, it’s still a very luxurious option for the most discerning motorist, especially the top-of-the-line Platinum.

Standard features on this trim include a moonroof, intelligent cruise control, blind-spot detection, backup-collision intervention, forward emergency braking and the Predictive Forward Collision Warning System. There’s also a lane-departure warning/prevention system, heated and cooled front seats, heated second-row seats, and a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 7-inch displays, wireless headphones and a DVD player.

Under the hood, the 2017 Armada Platinum is powered by Nissan's Endurance 5.6-liter V8 engine, which pumps out 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is available. And while the Armada may not be the most fuel-efficient choice topping out at 19 mpg on the highway when in rear-wheel drive, it’s rugged enough to tow up to 8,500 pounds, which is more hauling power than other full-sized SUVs in its class.

Capability and luxury – that’s what you can expect from the 2017 Armada Platinum. It certainly is a stylish, top-shelf choice for Seattle, Washington drivers.
