The S trim level now comes standard with a 30-kWh lithium-ion battery, which was previously only available in SV and SL models. This seemingly simple upgrade pushes the range of this yearâ€™s Leaf from 84 miles all the way up to 107 miles on one charge. The 6.6-kW onboard charger paired with a 220V power source can have the car replenished to 80% in as little as 30 minutes.

Equipped with an 80-kW AC synchronous motor, this hatchback produces 107 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque. The infotainment system operates with a 5-inch display screen and has Bluetooth connectivity, which allows occupants to answer calls hands-free. Heated seats provide comfort in the bitter winter months here in the Pacific Northwest.

According to experts at Edmunds, the rear seats can be folded down, which gives 30 cubic feet of storage space.
