Ford Vehicle News For Saskatchewan Canada
Summer has (finally) come - and Ford is ready to greet every hot mile. With the release of the 2018 F-150 Raptor, the Big Blue Oval is embracing an all-terrain sensibility this season; and drivers seeking adventure will find much to celebrate behind the wheel.

According to the NY Daily News, the 2018 F-150 Raptor has been tailored for off-road run. Its aluminum-alloy frame has been reinforced, with rigid steel and extra joints added to maximize stability; while skid plates protect the undercarriage from damaging rocks and branches. Fender flares guard the front from debris, and a raised suspension yields 9.9-inches of total ground clearance (which allows the truck to more efficiently navigate rough roads, lessening the chance of scratches and scrapes).

To further ensure a seamless off-road experience, the new F-150 Raptor also features adaptive cruise control technology. This function intuitively regulates speed - with integrated sensors yielding real-time assessments of the roadways and identifying potential obstacles. Should an impediment (such as a passing car or a skittish animal) veer too close to the truck, this system will engage the brakes and deliver a smooth deceleration. This will allow drivers to more confidently navigate every mile.

In the battle of half-ton horsepower there can be only one champion. Automotive brands meet in a whirl of chrome and smoke, trying to eke out the slightest percentage of supremacy; and trucks wage war on the track, delivering pedal-to-the-metal performance.

They all should’ve stayed home.

As the NY Daily News explains, only one pick-up proves a true powerhouse - and that’s the 2018 F-150. This Ford monster effortlessly dominates the competition, with its standard 3.3L V6 yielding 290 HP and 265 lb.-ft of torque. A robust six-speed automatic transmission provides custom drive-modes (Normal, Tow/Haul, and Sport) to optimize the performance-band on every terrain; while twin independent cam timing technology optimizes both air intake and fuel distribution, opening and closing valves as needed to maintain ideal engine responses.

Through this, the 2018 F-150 delivers a staggering 13,200 pounds of conventional trailering and a payload capacity of 3,720 pounds. No other competitor comes close:

2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1550
Towing: 12,500 pounds.
Payloads: 2,250 pounds.

2019 Dodge RAM 1500
Towing: 12,750 pounds.
Payloads: 2,300 pounds.

2018 GMC Sierra 1500
Towing: 12,500 pounds.
Payloads: 2,250 pounds.

The F-150 reigns as the definitive pick-up champion - and we expect this to continue for many years to come. To learn more about this truck’s performance capabilities contact us today!
Off-road adventures deserve more than mere power. Instead style should reign supreme - with drivers able to impress with every rev and from any angle. No compromise should be required.

Ford agrees. That’s why it’s fusing its 2019 F-150 Raptor with a sleek new look - allowing drivers to experience dynamic design while on the Baja trail.

According to The News Wheel, the 2019 F-150 Raptor will prove a style showcase. The chassis will boast athletic proportions, measuring 251-inches long, 86-inches wide, and 79-inches high. A bold color palette (which will include Velocity Blue and Agate Black) will emphasize the sculpted fenders and fluid character lines; while custom rear appliques will draw attention to the quick-locking tail-gate. Beadlock wheels will further impress, delivering aluminum-alloy spokes and satin-polished finishes; and a chrome bumper will sit beneath the wide swell of a black grille (the Ford name will be carved against a mesh background for dramatic effect).

Inside the 2019 F-150 will also delight - pairing Recaro sport-seating with blue custom stitching. This will perfectly channel the truck’s rally influence and inspire drivers to seek out unfamiliar trails.

The new F-150 Raptor will deliver sleek styling for the summer. To schedule a closer look at this Ford pick-up contact our team today!
It’s a battle for the ages. The 2018 F-150 and the 2018 RAM 1500 meet on an open field - each revving in anticipation, exhaust spilling into the air. They’re ready to secure the pick-up crown; and they’ll battle each other for sales domination. Their grilles glint in the sun and then… they’re off!

We already know what the outcome will be.

As Kelley Blue Book explains, the 2018 F-150 is the ultimate pick-up. Despite a valiant effort from Dodge, Ford’s top-selling platform proved unstoppable in a head-to-head competition - delivering enhanced performance with every rev. Its 2.7L turbocharged V6 yielded 325 HP (at 5,000 RPM) and 400 lb.-ft of torque (at 2,750 RPM). A 10-speed automatic transmission smoothly adjusted to both changing terrains and class-leading payloads, accommodating up to 13,200 pounds of conventional trailering; and its massive frame (243.7-inches long, 79.9-inches wide, and 75.6-inches high) promised durable responses on even the roughest roads, blending high-strength steel panels with aluminum-alloy accents.

The 2018 RAM 1500 never stood a chance. When compared to the F-150 by the KBB team, it fell short of every mark:

Horsepower: 305 (at 6,400 RPM).
Torque: 269 lb.-ft of torque (at 4,175 RPM).
Towing: 10,640 pounds.

Ford is the clear winner in the half-ton race - and we know our customers will rely on it for every summer adventure.

May has come and gone - but its sales are still being studied. Critics have gathered in Alberta, combing dutifully through every spec sheet and dealership tally in hopes of finding a summer chart champion.

We believe it will be the 2018 F-Series.

Ford has secured pick-up gains for 13 consecutive months; and this fleet seems destined to dominate the summer.

We’re not surprised. The 2018 F-Series boasts North America’s top-selling rides - the F-150, F-250, and F-350. Each of these pick-ups has been fused with exceptional performance, allowing them to accommodate both commercial and off-road demands.

Long months have passed - with drivers hunched next to their calendars, fingers burdened with the weight of their pens. They’ve been anxiously waiting for news of the 2019 Ranger’s arrival; and they're poised to scribble down the date, not wanting to risk losing a single second.

Breathe a sigh of relief, Alberta: the 2019 Ford Ranger is on its way… and we have the ordering date!

As TFL Truck explains, the ordering date for the new Ranger have been revealed. On August 13th Ford will begin accepting submissions for the platform - with the intention of getting all requests fulfilled by early 2019. This leaves mere months for drivers to ready themselves for the buying frenzy.

After all, who can resist this compact powerhouse?

Anchoring the 2019 Ranger will be a 2.3L EcoBoost engine - complemented by an aluminum-forged crankshaft and double-roller timing chains. A 10-speed automatic transmission promises smooth handling on the backroads (a low-to-high gear range is anticipated to optimize the redline on every terrain); while a rugged steel-infused bed will accommodate even the heaviest payloads. An electronic locking differential will ensure superior balance, engaging the rear axle to counter under-steerage; and Trail Control technology will enable Baja-fun, utilizing both speed moderation and automatic braking to maintain precise traction.

Adventures demand more than mere pluck. Instead advanced technology is needed to traverse the backroads - with too many variables plaguing every mile, undermining performance and power alike. The unknown must be countered.

Ford knows precisely how to do this.

As Trucks.com explains, the 2019 F-150 Raptor will soon arrive in Alberta - and it’s bringing class-leading tech with it. Bolstering the chassis is the newly enhanced Terrain Management System: a suite of intuitive applications that assess, and respond to, the roadways. Sensors monitor the truck’s surroundings, recognizing both incline changes and unsteady lane trajectories. To counter these, signals are sent to each individual wheel and traction ratios are increased based upon under-steerage demands. The brakes are gently engaged, and speed is lessened (typically between 1 MPH to 20 MPH to promote smooth handling).

To further ensure a confident ride, the new Raptor also boasts Trail Control technology. With the press of a button this system will deploy a burst of traction, allowing the truck to grip every terrain and propel forward. This proves vital for those who seek to conquer rocky areas.

With the release of the 2019 F-150 Raptor Ford provides best-in-class support to drivers - allowing them to scale the steepest inclines with ease. To learn more about this platform visit our dealership today.
It’s a mighty hill - carved with grooves and gashes, rolling unsteadily toward the horizon. You long to conquer it… but your truck is already trembling. Its chassis whines; its tires quiver; and its suspension gives a sad creak, protesting even the mere suggestion of a Baja climb. This is not an adventure it will let you have.

Ford believes it’s time to take control of your off-road experiences - which is why it suggests that you trade your meek pick-up for a true V8 beast. The 2019 F-150 Raptor is on its way.

According to Trucks.com, the 2019 Raptor is primed for every adventure. Ford has bolstered its chassis with a brand new suspension, allowing the truck to seamlessly adapt to any terrain. Electronically-controlled shock absorbers anchor the braces, smoothly dispersing friction to ensure a refined ride; while continuously adjusting dampers counter body-roll. Body sensors line the undercarriage and deliver real-time traction assessments, identifying both compression rates and tire grippage to determine the proper stiffness level (the entire system will automatically increase or lessen tension, depending upon the surrounding environment).

To further enhance off-road performance, the 2019 F-150 Raptor boasts a class-leading ground clearance - with its suspension raised to ensure 13-inches in the front and 13.9-inches in the rear. The truck can easily navigate even the roughest roads, with its elevated wheelbase protected from debris.

The new Raptor proves a perfect companion for those craving all-terrain thrills. To learn more about this pick-up contact our team today!

It seems an unlikely alliance - with Ford partnering with ROUSH Racing to enhance its hulking F-250. Though the two brands have been frequent collaborators on the sport market (delivering turbocharged Mustangs to the rally scene), the notion of them applying the same quicksilver treatment to a full-ton hauler has left many critics baffled.

We find, however, that we can easily accept this idea. After all, who can’t see the value in a sport-tuned F-250?

According to the Free Press, the 2018 F-250 has been redefined by ROUSH. This platform has been fused with 20-inch aluminum-alloy rims, delivering an aggressive stance; while 35.3-inch BF Goodrich K02 tires promise all-terrain value, boasting wide interlocks and stiffened sidewalls. Fender flares line the sides and combat debris; and a newly raised suspension promises an extra 1.5-inches of ground clearance (this ensures a total of 10 inches, allowing the platform to roll over every obstacle).

To further delight drivers: despite the extra weight these new features may bring, they demand no compromise of performance. The 2018 F-250 still yields best-in-class power, generating up to 4,315 payload pounds and 13,300 trailering pounds. This all pairs with a robust V8 engine that delivers 435 HP on the highway.

Are you as thrilled as we are?

The end of May has come - and the automotive market is greeting it with a celebration. The start of this month proved poor, with a fire ripping through Ford factories and damaging countless F-150 models. Lariats and Limiteds alike were reduced to ash; and many feared that the Big Blue Oval wouldn’t be able to recover from such a loss. Its inventory had been gutted.

Never underestimate the power of the F-Series, however - because Ford has just announced that it’s ready to resume production on the F-150!

According to CNN, Ford is already revving up its assembly lines. Despite mere weeks passing since the terrible fire struck its Michigan and Missouri plants (the two largest in North America), the brand is accelerating its production schedule - bringing 19 new dies in to accommodate the demand. Its engineers and clean-up crews have worked in seamless tandem to sweep away the debris, and the result is state-of-the-art capability.

This, CNN explains, should prove crucial to critics - all who feared that an F-Series shortage was imminent. It was reported that Ford had a mere 84 days of F-150s in stock, and a sales loss seemed impossible to avoid. With the expedited repairs of its production plants, however, this fate has been thwarted… and drivers across North America are cheering.

We don’t blame them. The 2018 F-150 reigns as the best-selling vehicle in Canada and the United States - yielding exceptional power (up to 450 HP), strong economy (up to 26 MPGs on the highway), and impressive payloads (up to 2,311 pounds). Its long cab (which measures between 66-inches to 96-inches) accommodates every haul with ease; and its available 10-speed automatic transmission provides nimble handling on every backroad.
