Are you thinking about purchasing a full-size sedan? If you answered yes, then you need to take a good look at the 2021 Chrysler 300. Available in three unique trim levels, this particular car is quite a powerhouse.
Â
The standard engine is Canada’s best-selling 3.6-litre Pentastar V6. Generating 260 hp and 292 lb-ft of torque, it comes equipped with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission from TorqueFlite. Thanks to the advanced variable valve timing (VVT) technology, it boasts an average fuel economy of around 12.4 L/100 km (19 mpg) in the city and 7.8 L/100 km (30 mpg) on the highway.
Â
On the top-tier S model, you also have the option to get the beastly 5.7-litre HEMI V8. Paired with the same transmission and gas-saving mechanisms, it adds a multi-displacement system into the mix. The result is an output of 363 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. You can expect to get about 14.7 L/100 km (16 mpg) in the city and 9.4 L/100 km (25 mpg) on the highway.
Â
What’s even more surprising is that the Chrysler 300 can pull up to 453 kgs (1,000 lbs). That’s enough to handle a lightweight teardrop trailer.
