Available in five unique trim levels, the new 2021 Ram 1500 Classic can be fitted with one of two engine options. Each is powerful enough to get the job done right the first time. Both are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, an E-shifter, and your choice of a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain.

The standard 3.6-litre V6 from Pentastar is Canada’s best-selling motor. Generating 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, this unit can handle 3,506 (7,730 lb) of weight during a tow. Thanks to Variable Valve Timing technology, it also enjoys a high fuel economy set at around 11.8 L/100 km (20 mpg) in the city and 9.4 L/100 km (25 mpg) on the highway.

You may also get the robust 5.7-litre HEMI V8. Pumping out 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, this version can haul up to 3,737 kg (8,240 lbs) without breaking a sweat. You can also expect to get about 15.7 L/100 km (15 mpg) in the city and 10.7 L/100 km (22 mpg) on the highway.
