Anchored by a dual-motor system - as well as an extended-range lithium-ion battery pack - the new F-150 Lightning will dominate the electric segment. BC drivers can expect a performance output of up to 565 HP and 775 lb.-ft of torque (numbers that effortlessly eclipse the competition, including Ford’s own PowerBoost Hybrid V6 configuration); while the standard AWD will assure rugged handling on even the roughest roads. Further enhancing capability is the Lightning’s independent rear suspension - which utilizes semi-trailing arms to achieve smooth articulation. Aluminum-alloy controllers complement each rev, reducing unsprung mass; while a lower centre of gravity helps to ensure balanced responses. This allows drivers to take full advantage of the truck’s exceptional speed, with only four seconds needed to blitz from 0 to 60.
2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Delivers Efficiency To BC, Canada
The value of an all-electric pick-up extends beyond power (though, BC drivers will thrill at the promise of 10,000 pounds of trailering and a payload capacity of 2,000 pounds). Instead economy is needed, and the F-150 Lightning will provide that.
When equipped with an extended-range battery pack, this pick-up will deliver a drive-range of up to 480-km. No longer waste time searching for fuel stations. Instead dominate the weekly commute with help from an 80-amp system that will assure segment-leading distance. Additionally, Ford has paired this truck with dual onboard chargers - affording a 19.2-kw output from either 120-volt or 240-volt outlets. Achieve peak power overnight.

This program assesses both road conditions (including weather patterns) and vehicle metrics (such as payload weight) in real-time, generating a comprehensive list of potentially damaging energy factors. These are then compiled, measured, and shared with the operator; and an estimated distance is provided.Through this, drivers can better understand how their vehicle is operating under unique conditions - monitoring battery output and available performance. This ensures that charge levels can be properly maintained, and work-flow won’t be interrupted by a sudden power loss. Efficiency is guaranteed.
