The new 2021 Mazda CX-30 is a well-rounded crossover that comes with a slew of state-of-the-art safety systems. Known collectively as i-Activsense, this driving aid package is so inclusive that we had to break it down into three parts to give each component its due credit.
The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) uses a series of front-mounted cameras to detect the line markings on the road. If the vehicle begins to drift without a turning signal turned on, LDWS will notify you to correct your path.
Next is High Beam Control (HBC). As you travel on the highway at night with your brights on, this mechanism will toggle between high and low beams. This is designed to help you spot obstacles in your way.
Finally, Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) can find pedestrians and objects in the street and alert you to their presence. It also preps the CX-30 by adjusting the brake pads closer to the disc for a quicker response time.
