Most sedans only come with one standard engine. However, the new 2021 Mazda3 GT is offered with two powertrain choices. The output numbers on both may come as a surprise to you.
The first is the 2.5 L Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder. Producing 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, it is much more gutsy than the standard unit equipped on the GX and GS trims. The average fuel economy on the highway is about 6.5 L/100 km.
Next, you may also get the 2.5 L Skyactiv-G Dynamic Pressure Turbo motor. Generating 227 hp and 310 lb-ft, it is the strongest in the lineup. Also found under the hood of the 100th Anniversary Edition, this piece of equipment was built to impress. It’s also better on gas with a highway estimation of 7.5 L/100 km.
Both use direct-injection technology and the FWD system. Also, i-Activ AWD is available on the second option. Using a 6-speed automatic transmission and G-Vectoring Control Plus, you will enjoy every second behind the wheel.
