The 2021 Mazda CX-5 stands out when it comes to performance because of its available turbocharged engine, i-Activ AWD, and sporty suspension. Thanks to its compact size, SkyActiv powertrain, and well-engineered body, it is also a winner in terms of efficiency. The 2021 Mazda CX-5 brings three engine choices to Kelowna, BC. The base 2.5L Skyactiv I-4 gets 7.8 L/100 km on the highway. A similar motor with cylinder deactivation - available on GS, Kuro, and GT trims - lowers fuel consumption to 7.6 L/100 km, while offering 9.3 L/100 km during city driving.Â
The 2.5L Skyactiv with Dynamic Pressure Turbo (DPT) increases the horsepower to 250 (instead of 187). Available on GTs and standard on Signature and 100th Anniversary CX-5s, it comes with AWD. This improved performance does not significantly change the fuel economy numbers. These vehicles get 8.7 L/100 km on the open road and 10.8 on urban streets.Â
