we are pleased to announce the addition of DAVID COOPER as our new FLEET MANAGER ~ & YES ~ his name has certain significance!Â

DAVID COOPER worked with his father FORBES COOPER (our founder) in his youth, then moved into the restaurant & catering business before helping set up the VIRGIN MEGASTORE in VANCOUVER

he returned to the boatbuilding industry in 1998 and worked with IRION MACHINE ~ a high-end metal fabrication company where he worked until 2008Â

then, as DON MARTIN finalized the design of the MARTIN 244, DAVID headed the crew that finished the tooling and began production of the Â Martin 244 sailboat featured in our fleet

in 2011, he once again joined his father at WESTCOAST CUSTOM YACHTS as they built three custom power vessels over 60' Â

one way or another though, DAVID has been around boats and the boatbuilding business all his life

DAVID:Â

was an original member of the JERICHO SAILING CENTRE and HOBIE fleet 214
plays to a 12 handicap on the golf course and lives in COQUITLAM with his wife, two sons, a dog and a catÂ
has a keen eye for fashion and knows how to put together an outfitÂ
loves to cook and drink wine - even certified by the WINE & SPIRITS EDUCATIONAL TRUST
