Interesting INFINITI Facts For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
2018 infiniti q50 for sale tacoma washingtonYou already love INFINITI vehicles. You may even know an awful lot about them--their specs, various models, and of course these cars’ many awesome features. When it comes to the automaker’s past, though, are you a trivia buff? We’re here today to teach you a bit of the history of this manufacturer.

In 1989, INFINITI launched in the United States with 51 dealerships. At that time, there were 2 models to choose from. The first was the powerful Q45 sedan, and the other was the exciting M30 coupe.

In 1995, the VQ engine was introduced. It was so impressive that it ranked as one of Ward’s 10 Best for the next 14 years. The brand knew it was onto something. Ultimately, this evolved into the V6.

In 1999, INFINITI launched its Total Ownership Experience®. This enables drivers access to exclusive offers and travel opportunities. Today, there are over 400 dealerships in the United States.

INFINITI is just as great today as it was back in 1989. Stop by our dealership and test drive a wonderful Q50 or Q60, both of which feature the Twin Turbo V6 engine that evolved from the VQ. These vehicles are powerful, sleek, and beautiful to behold. Hurry in!
2018 qx30 for sale tacoma washingtonMost likely, you are familiar with lane departure warning and other proactive safety features. Many vehicles today take advantage of this technology to keep drivers and others on the road safe and secure. However, did you know that INFINITI was among the first to showcase this? In fact, the automaker has been using it since 2004.

In 2004, INFINITI pioneered lane departure warning in its FX model. The technology senses when the driver is about to move without signaling and alters them before they do so. It’s a fantastic way to avoid accidents and help you to stay vigilant on the road.

Today, lane departure warning is part of INFINITI’s Safety Shield technologies. The associated prevention tool actually guides you back into place if you have started to drift. This amazing feature works via a discreet rearview camera that gauges the distance between you and other cars, as well as the markings on the road, to determine where you should be driving. All of this is designed to enhance, rather than override, the control of the driver.

Safety Shield technologies are available in many INFINITI models today, including the Q50, Q60, Q70, QX30, and QX60. Stop by your local Tacoma dealership today and take a test drive of one of these fabulous vehicles!
2018 infiniti q60 for sale tacoma washingtonYou probably already love INFINITI vehicles if you’re reading this column, but do you know much about the brand’s history? For instance, were you aware that the automaker developed the predecessor to its powerful Twin Turbo V6 engine all the way back in 1955?

INFINITI developed the VQ in 1955, and
it ranked as one of Ward’s 10 Best Engines for the next 14 years. This is no small feat, so the brand knew it was on to something special. From these humble beginnings, the V6 was born.

The Twin Turbo V6 is a strong, performance-driven engine meant to make your every moment behind the wheel a thrilling one. Today’s models are clean and use 3.0-liter technology to provide either 300 or 400 horsepower. You’ll enjoy immediate acceleration, too.

The turbo aspect of this engine allows the turbines to reach 222,000 RPM. Even better, water-cooled air is channeled through the system. Since it’s more oxygen-rich, you won’t deal with irritating lag as you accelerate.

The Twin Turbo V6 is currently available in INFINITI’s Q50 and Q60. Don’t miss your chance to take a thrilling test drive with one of the beautiful vehicles. Stop by our Tacoma dealership today!
Welcome to the first in a series of posts devoted to interesting auto facts. It’s too easy to get caught up in the specs and features of the vehicles around us without ever noticing fascinating tidbits about the cars and the history of their companies.

If you’ve seen INFINITI vehicles around, you’ve probably noticed their intriguing styling and cohesiveness of branding. But have you ever taken note of their logo?

According to INFINITI, their logo consists of “two central lines leading off into an infinite point on the horizon.” This was designed with a serious purpose in mind--to symbolize the “luxury performance brand’s desire to be always looking forward – to new horizons, to infinity.” The name itself is derived from the English word “infinity” which means “endlessness”, “continuity” and “eternity.”

Consumers like to speculate also that the logo is meant to represent Mount Fuji in Japan. The thought behind this is that its “mountain shape is representative of the highest point or apex in terms of sophistication, quality, and technical advancements,” and that it pays homage to the heritage of its parent brand, Nissan.

Other drivers think that the Infiniti logo is the actual infinity mathematical symbol, a sideways “8.” However, this is not an official brand interpretation.

If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, stop by your local INFINITI of Tacoma dealer today. Another fun fact: the manufacturer has sold over a million cars since its foundation, so you know you’re getting the best in quality.
