The 2018 INFINITI Q50 is more than just the sportiest looking coupe on the market. Aesthetic aside, this sleek four-door, five-passenger ride delivers a full suite of advanced hospitality features to Washington drivers.
For starters, the cabin interior symbiotically blends artistry with innovation to elevate the level of craftsmanship within the performance-oriented cockpit. This is demonstrated through everything from the stitching of the upper instrument panel and the premium leatherette seating surfaces to the driver-oriented layout.
Showcasing an asymmetrical dash design, all of the necessary buttons, dials, and gauges are ergonomically available to the operator. Further complementing the abundant use of rich materials, Kacchu aluminum trim provides an exciting contrast on the center console, instrument panel, and doors.
With HEV sound management technologies, including the available Active Noise Control, occupants will enjoy a calm and peaceful environment. Utilizing the speaker system within the car, the Q50 is able to detect low-frequency engine tones and generate acoustically opposite waves to cancel out the feedback.

While everyone may want to own a sports car, we’ll be the first to admit — it’s not always the most realistic option. Between a carpooling schedule, soccer practice, and family road trips, sometimes you need a vehicle that can do it all. However, roadster aficionados fear not, the 2018 INFINITI Q50 combines the sleek exterior of a coupe with the functional feel and flexibility of a sedan into one luxurious package.
With broad proportions — 189.6 inches in length, 71.8 inches wide, and 57.2 inches in height — and an aggressive stance, this isn’t your typical four-door. Featuring sensuous and dynamic styling that articulates the brand’s “Powerful Elegance†design language, this ride has major curb appeal. Showcasing an expressive front fascia with a double-arch grille, and piercing human-eye like LED headlights, it commands attention.
While maintaining its athletic appearance on the outside, the interior features surprising roominess to accommodate busy lifestyles. Riders in the cockpit can enjoy a more than generous 40.2- and 44.5-inches of head and leg space, respectively. Meanwhile, thanks to a thin front seatback design and extended chair slide and lift adjustability, rear passengers receive 35.1 inches for their feet and 56.1 inches of shoulder girth.Â

Where beauty is concerned, people often say, “it’s what on the inside that counts.†If that sentiment rings true, then the 2018 INFINITI Q50 just might be the fairest of them all. Outfitted with a high-tech cabin, this sports sedan showcases an enhanced level of artistry to provide a “comfortable and connected space†for all occupants.
For starters, a new steering wheel features unique thumb moldings for a comfortable grip, as well as intuitive finger-reach access to the mounted gear-shift paddles. These modifications allow the driver to feel more in control of the experience.
The dashboard and instrument panel are surrounded by premium quality wood trim that—thanks to special treatment—maintains a grainy organic character as opposed to a high-gloss veneer. Updated with an asymmetrical flow, the center console is specially designed so that the operator can easily attend to all buttons, switches, and touch panels without needing to adjust their posture.
Equipped with INFINITI’s InTouch Services, passengers can easily personalize the interior environment to their unique preferences. From recognizing your most frequently used in-vehicle apps (say, navigation, for example), to seat position settings, the system seamlessly synchronizes car and rider.

When you’re behind the wheel of an INFINITI Q50, turning heads is already a given. However, with 2018 comes the introduction of two new models in the luxury sedan lineup. The 3.0t SPORT and RED SPORT 400 each feature their own unique characteristics so that, when it comes to exterior design, drivers are gifted with choice.
While all grades — PURE, LUXE, 3.0t SPORT, and RED SPORT — showcase the brand’s signature double-arch grille, it has been recently updated with a chrome surround to create a stronger first impression. Maintaining a mighty wave-like fluidity along the profile, the latter trims receive a more angular front bumper. Wider air intakes complete the fascia and articulate the performance-focus of the design.
Moving to the rear of the car, both new figures benefit from twin exhausts and two-tone paint finish along the base of the bumpers. These small details contribute to a highly athletic appearance.
To further impress, the RED SPORT 400 offers even more in the way of exterior upgrades. 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels aren’t just for looks, as they also improve the overall handling of the vehicle.Â

As if they need the extra credentials to further set them apart, these adapted Q50 forms also include a red “S†badge on their back ends.

There’s a good chance you’ve heard us utter the word "ProPILOT" a time or two, but do you actually know what we mean when we refer to the new space-age sounding banner that encapsulates all of INFINITI’s driver support technologies? Let’s clear the air.
With the latest Q50 on the market, Nissan’s luxury brand introduced a bundle of impressive operator innovations to make life easier when on the road. The most recent and top-of-the-line package—the proACTIVE—includes several proprietary functions that will pave the way towards fully autonomous vehicles.
Direct Adaptive Steering offers extra support by removing the mechanical connection between the wheel and tires for instantaneous input that delivers enhanced control and maneuverability.
Intelligent Cruise works seamlessly with Distance Assistance to assess traffic patterns and instantly auto-adjust your speed based on the range of vehicles in front.
Meanwhile, the Active Lane Control system works by using cameras to monitor markings on the pavement. With the ability to detect the car’s positioning on highways, it can counter swerving without any additional prompts from the driver.
Other proprietary features under the ProPILOT banner include Backup Impact Intervention, Blind Spot Warning and Correction, Forward Emergency Braking, and Predictive Impact Alerts.

It’s no secret that change is not always welcomed with open arms. Kind of like getting a new haircut, it can be hard to let go of the familiar. However, when you come out of the salon looking like a million bucks, the transition is easy, and there is little to lament.
That’s precisely the case with the all-new INFINITI Q50. While there was, of course, lots to love about previous model years, the 2018 rendition features a refreshed look that the Reading Eagle suggests, "pushes the limits of sedan-styling."
The stunning architecture is characterized by a sculpted front fascia, an aerodynamic profile, and dramatic, athletic stance. Sitting low to the ground, it’s an attention-commanding 71.8 inches wide and 189.6 inches in length.
Deep set fog lights complement a pair of multi-mode jeweled LED headlamps that give off a stealthy gaze. Sharp character lines extend back along the hood from the double-arched grill, ultimately leading the eye down the contours of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the back side of this luxury crossover showcases fluidity in design through a revised rear end. Chiseled fenders bode well with dual chrome-tipped exhaust outlets to pull together a dramatic expression. Wrap-around LEDs are connected by an extensive chrome strip that contributes to this powerful ride’s brawny appearance.
