The 2019 INFINITI QX50 is a category-defying crossover for many reasons. And, while it would be easy to discuss the proprietary VC-turbo compression ratio engine that it’s packing under the hood, there are myriad other little subtleties that make this ride a standout. Namely, its bold proportions and athletic stance that propel this sub-compact into new heights.
For starters, this CUV boasts an overall altitude of 66.1 inches, so passengers will be sitting pretty with an 8.6-inch ride elevation for maximum visibility. To further impress, an eye-point of 50.7 inches affords the operator a clear view whether commuting, parking, or watching a movie at the old drive-in theater.
With the choice of 19-inch or 20-inch options, the bold tire dimensions also add to the carrier's sense of agility and overall ruggedness. With the wheels reaching as far into the corners as structurally possible, there is a minimal intrusion from the arches into the cabin's interior space.
At 184.7 inches in length and 74.9 inches in width, the QX50 delivers a broad appeal to those in the market for a sports utility vehicle that looks the part, while still offering sedan-like handling and performance.

Chances are, you’ve heard about the all-new 2019 INFINITI QX50 by now. What with its state-of-the-art VC-turbo engine, it’s been no stranger to the headlines. However, to read about it is one thing. To see it in real life — up close and personal — is another altogether. To put it bluntly, this proprietary crossover is stunning.
What truly sets it apart from its competitors is the perfect articulation of the brand’s “Powerful Elegance†design language. Characterized by flowing sculptural lines, the QX50 evokes a fluid sense of motion, even when it's stationary. Strong and muscular proportions (184.7 inches in length, 74.9 inches in width, 66.0 inches in height) complement its commanding stance.
Modern design cues offer a fresh take on signature INFINITI styling. For example, while the brand’s iconic double-arch grille certainly makes an appearance on the bold front end of this ride, it is positioned higher on the nose than past generations and offers no gaps between the grille and the hood. These small tweaks make a big difference in further distinguishing the striking appearance of this category-defying CUV.
Moving along the profile of the QX50, sculpted character lines flow from a unique clamshell hood, leading back to sharp crescent-cut D-pillars — which visually extend the length of the roof. Meanwhile, the rear showcases a chrome tailgate stripe and matching dual exhaust tips.
