It’s been a big year for Nissan’s luxury brand, and true to character, they're giving back — in more ways than one. Outside of creating premier vehicles that cater to Washington drivers’ needs, INFINITI has donated more than $8 million to various charities through their partnership with the NCAA. During the 2018 season alone, the company has dispersed $1.1 million to a multitude of philanthropic organizations.
In collaboration with the National Association of Basketball Coaches, Phil O’Connor, the director of Marketing Communications and Media at INFINITI Americas proudly presented two notable checks last week. The first one awarded $774,180 to the American Cancer Society, which has helped to increase the number of survivors to 15 million strong.
Additionally, through the organization's sponsored Coaches Challenge and CBS Round-by-Round Bracket tournament, they also raised $349,000 to be distributed among a conglomerate of viable foundations, as chosen by participant winners of the event. For example, Dave Rose, head coach at Brigham Young University was the 2018 champ of the CCC and decided to allocate $100,000 to benefit the Simmons Center for Cancer Research at BYU.
