As the name suggests, this model runs on a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine, which delivers 182 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 180 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. For a midsize sedan, itâ€™s very fuel-efficient, sporting an EPA rating of 27 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway. But if thatâ€™s not enough performance for you, the 2015 Altima also comes available with a 3.5-liter V6, which dishes out 270 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, as well as an EPA rating of 22 city/32 highway MPG.

As for standard features, the base S model comes nicely equipped right off the lot. This includes a six-way manual driver's seat, four-way front passenger seat, 60/40-split/folding rear bench seat, power windows and door locks, tilt/telescoping steering wheel with touch controls, and remote keyless entry with push-button ignition.
