Want to own a piece of automotive history? You can with this 2011 Leaf SV! This was Nissan’s first model to venture into the all-electric segment and gain traction as a battery-powered car for the masses. Since then it has gone on to spawn two generations, running solely on plug-in power.
Â
Priced at only $6,771, the 2011 Nissan Leaf is an affordable way to break into the electric segment. Under the hood, this platform runs on a 24kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which powers the 80-kilowatt synchronous electric motor to produce 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. On a single charge, the Leaf can run for up to 100 miles, which translates to an EPA energy efficiency equivalent rating (MPG-e) of 106 mpg city and 92 mpg highway. When it’s time to juice up the Leaf, a 220-volt charger will need about 4-8 hours to refresh, but a commercial quick-charge station will have you on the road again in 30 minutes.Â
Â
Inside, the SV trim offers a comfortable cabin equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including Bluetooth hands-free calling, an advanced trip computer, and a navigation system. Premium sound is conducted from the six-speaker audio system with a CD player, satellite radio, auxiliary audio jack and USB audio interface. Plus, you’ll always be comfortable riding on the height-adjustable driver’s seat made from recycled cloth upholstery. Cruise control and keyless ignition/entry are also standard for your convenience.
