Without a lick of gasoline, you’ll be able to tow, haul and power up projects, so you can work more efficiently.

According to Driving, the new Lightning packs a big punch. Using dual in-board motors and a standard 4x4 drivetrain, this platform will throw a reported 775 lb.-ft. of torque – more than any F-150. When paired with the 563-hp extended-range battery, the 2022 F-150 Lightning can bolt from zero to 100 km/h in just over four seconds. That’s faster than the Ranger!

In addition to its ballistic acceleration, the Lightning proves a skillful hauler. With the standard-range battery, this all-electric truck can tow 3,493 kg, but opting for the extended-range version with the Max Trailer Tow package increases the pickup’s pulling power to 4,536 kg. Carry heavy loads? The 2022 F-150 Lightning is an all-electric workhorse, boasting a maximum 816-kg payload capacity.

It’s time to rejoice, BC commercial fleet operators – the battery-powered F-150 Lightning is set to arrive next spring! To learn more about this truck’s specs and features, contact Skaha Ford in Penticton for a full review.
