When you think of the F-150, you don’t think of hybrid power—but Ford is ready to change that with their electrifying (literally and figuratively) all-new 2021 model.
The 2021 F-150 Hybrid packs a 3.5L PowerBoost V6 engine, producing 430 horses at 6,000 RPM and 570 lb.-ft of torque at 3,000 RPM. Part of the secret behind this performance is its fusion to a 1.5-KwH battery and 35-kilowatt electric motor, gifting the truck regenerative braking for enhanced fuel economy. Just as importantly, this setup also affords the vehicle a driving range of up to 1,110 kilometres and a towing capacity of as much as 12,700 pounds.
