2022 Ford Maverick Arrives in Penticton

The standard unit is a 2.5-litre FHEV Inline-4 Atkinson cycle motor. Generating 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque, it is paired with a 94 kW battery pack and a PowerSplit Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT). FWD is also included along with 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and regenerative braking.

There is also a 2.0-litre Ecoboost Inline-4 engine that delivers 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. Partnered with an 8-speed automatic transmission and your choice of FWD or 4WD, it is ideal for people who aren’t ready to commit to going green.

Both versions can carry a payload weighing up to 680 kg. As for hauling capacity, the hybrid can manage 907 kg, and the gasoline model can pull up to 1,814 kg with the 4K Tow Package.
