What’s one of the most useful things you can put into a truck that’s built from the ground-up for  getting things done on the job site? Why, an onboard power generator, of course—and that’s exactly what the folks at Ford have made a reality for the 2021 F-150.
That’s right. The F-150 gets even better for the new model year thanks to the Big Blue Oval’s savvy inclusion of the Pro Power Onboard generator. Its base offering supplies a sizable 2.0 kW of electrical capacity, exclusive to the gas-only F-150s. So, what does 2.0 kW get you? Quite a lot! For example, you’ll be able to power an electric heater, speakers, a mini-fridge, and a television, all at once.

There’s more, though. For those looking for some extra “oomph,†there’s the standard configuration exclusive to the hybrid truck models that features an increased 2.4 kW capacity. But for those willing to pony up a few more bucks, there’s a hybrid-exclusive 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard unit with one 240-volt outlet and four 120-volt plugs that can simultaneously charge up a plasma cutter, chop saw, TiG welder, air compressor, and more!
