sharp top chain supplier vancouver canadaFew North American markets prove as volatile - or as contested - as softwood lumber production. Trading agreements between Canada and the United States have (historically) failed to inspire confidence, and export tensions have remained high.

Connexus is happy to report, however, that this may soon change.

According to 'Wood Business', Chrystia Freeland (Canadian International Trade Minister) and Michael Froman (U.S. Trade representative) have recently entered negotiations for the softwood market. These negotiations are intended to improve the current export regulations between the countries, promoting accelerated production and higher profits. The intention is to eliminate trade disputes and promote growth among producers and consumers alike.

In a joint statement released to 'Wood Business', Freeland and Froman said: “The United States and Canada are committed to continuing negotiations in an effort to achieve a durable and equitable solutions.” This, Connexus knows, will help to stabilize the softwood market - and create new opportunities for North American mills.

With our sharp top chains, we’re prepared for the impending softwood shift. Our products have been tailored for increased processes, with their unique ground flat-bottom designs ensuring even load distributions. This reduces overall wear, allowing the chains to sustain steady operations over extended periods of time (even at rates of over 1,400 FPM).

Should the United States and Canada reach a new export agreement, these sharp top chains will prove ideal for mills needing to expedite softwood materials.
