Founding chairman Jamie Davis, and soonto be appearing on the new Towing and Recovery reality show, airing on Discovery Channel this fall, is pleased to announce the formation of the Western Canada Automotive Business Association.

The association has been formed to advocate for the automotive services aftermarket and remarketing sector from a Western Canada perspective.  The Western Canada region is buoyed by a strong resource economy that is creating challenges and affecting the automotive sector not only from a cost perspective but also competing for skilled automotive workers in all sectors.

WCABA is committed to “Where Small Business Matters”.  All aspects of the automotive small business sector need to have a voice and it’s unique perspective heard.

The WCABA was formed by a group in industry who have become very concerned that the small business sector of the automotive aftermarket industry has become directed by consolidators. This small business sector has traditionally been the group that has been the backbone of the automotive sector, supporting apprenticeship and entry level employment into this dynamic industry in all automotive disciplines. WCABA will advocate with provincial or federal governments, insurance companies, and any stakeholders or suppliers of the automotive supply chain.

The WCABA has many initiatives planned over the coming months to make sure the member’s voices are heard, with governments but also from a Western Canadian economic point of view.

Chairman Davis would also like to announce at this time, the appointment of Dale Finch to the position of President & CEO of the WCABA. Many of the members have had a long standing relationship with Dale and look forward to working with him. Dale has experience in many facets of the automotive industry, and we look forward to his leadership of WCABA.
