It’s no secret that larger vehicles - like trucks and SUVs - tend to have bigger blind spots in the rear. Trying to see obstacles behind you, therefore, proves a challenge. This is why the new 2021 Ram 1500 Tradesman has been fitted with a dynamic camera suite, helping to counter the common driver frustrations.
Â
Thanks to its ParkView camera, the Tradesmen ensures you can see what’s going on as you reverse out of your garage or driveway. Its live video feed will appear on the infotainment monitor located on the central dash inside the cabin. The size and capacities of this display will vary depending on which trim level you get, but the base model comes with a 5-inch touchscreen. This affords a real-time view of any obstacles, with colour-coded gridlines displayed to note their distances.
Â
Additional safety systems on the new Tradesman include hill-start assist, electronic stability and traction control, trailer sway technology, roll mitigation, and rain brake support. Finally, the tailgate locks to secure your payload in the bed - ensuring that you'll feel fully confident when you park.Â
