Equipped with one of two powertrain options, the new 2021 Ram 1500 Tradesman allows you to decide what kind of performance you want to get out of your truck.
Â
The first is the standard 3.6 L Pentastar V6 engine that makes 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Depending on the cab style, the maximum towing range is somewhere between 2063 and 2993 kg (4,550 and 6,600 lbs.)Â Next is the 5.7 L HEMI V8 with variable valve timing and multi-displacement technology. Generating 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, it can haul up to 2789 to 3819 kg (6,150 to 8,420Â lbs).
Â
Both motors are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and your choice of RWD or 4WD. The average fuel economy is expected to be about 11.9L/100 km in the city and 9.4L/100 km on the highway.
Â
A stabilizer bar plus heavy-duty shock absorbers in the front and back provide a smooth ride experience. You can comfortably traverse over jagged rocks and rough terrain without getting whiplash. Furthermore, a 7-pin wiring harness has been installed to ensure that electricity is running to your trailer lights.
