Illumination is a vital part of any vehicle. However, not all bulbs are created equal. The new 2021 Ram 3500 is a heavy-duty pickup that offers stellar lighting systems.
Â
The Tradesman and Big Horn models come with standard automatic quad halogen headlamps. “Quad†means that there are two bulbs in each casing for a total of four. These are each filled with halogen gas and come with plastic lenses. They are sometimes referred to as composite bulbs.
Â
Next, the Laramie uses LEDs. This new and improved technology uses Light Emitting Diodes and filament bulbs instead of conventional gas. The result is a bluer, crisper light and less energy.
Â
Finally, the Limited Longhorn and Limited trims include premium bi-functional LED directional projector headlamps. While that may seem like a mouthful, it’s actually fairly simple. An internal shutter is moved out of the way in order for you to activate your high beams.
Â
If you want to take things a step further, you can also add the class-exclusive Adaptive Forward Lighting System. This instantly bumps your headlights brightness up by 15 degrees at night to provide enhanced visibility.
