When it comes to SUVs, blind spots tend to be larger than with smaller sedans. Since this is the case, it only makes sense to incorporate safety features to combat this. Luckily, the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland comes with enhancements that will keep you and your loved ones safe on the roads of BC.
Â
Known as Blind Spot Monitoring, this feature uses sensors to detect other vehicles next to you on the highway. If you attempt to change lanes while the way is not clear, audible and visual alerts will signal you to wait. Once the path is empty, you may proceed with the switch as you originally intended.
Â
Oftentimes, another component is paired with it. This is typically Rear Cross-Path Detection. Working with the ParkView backup camera and Park-Sense, it will notify you if an obstacle moves behind you while you are in reverse. This is quite handy for getting out of tight or crowded spaces. Meanwhile, grid lines help to guide you so that you don’t bump into anything.
Â
Finally, automatic windshield wipers activate at the first drop of rain to keep the glass clean.
