Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
This year’s Dubai International Motor Show offered car enthusiasts in the Middle East the opportunity to witness the future of Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility initiative. Two of the all-electric wonder cars on display were the 2018 LEAF and the prototype BladeGlider.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility is set to make the world safer and more efficient through self-driving technology and all-electric design, and the next-generation 2018 LEAF represents the initiative perfectly. Unveiled for the first time in the Middle East, the vehicle has been selected as the Official Automotive Partner for Expo 2020 Dubai and has been branded accordingly. When it releases early next year in Seattle and elsewhere, the car will come packed with an engine capable of 147 horses and 236-lb.-ft. of torque.

Alongside the LEAF was the futuristic BladeGlider. While only a prototype, it exists to provide the public with an idea of where Nissan Intelligent Mobility is going in the future, whether you live in Seattle, Dubai, or elsewhere. Donning a sports car design, the fascinating vehicle merges an exhilarating open-top structure with the safety of a coupe. Early models have been powered by a five-module lithium-ion battery rated at 220kW.

We’ve covered the 2018 Nissan LEAF’s upcoming performance in great detail, but did you realize how affordable this all-electric vehicle is relative to its technology? The hatchback is a sensational car that is prepared to get only better.

The performance for the 2018 Nissan Leaf is assured. Even the base model of the vehicle will achieve 150 miles of range, which represents an improvement of 43 miles over the 2017 model. This is managed via a 40-kilowatt lithium-ion battery. And speed is in abundance, too. The electric engine on this impressive car supplies 147 HP and 236-lb.-ft. of torque.

Despite eclipsing the previous variant in power and range, the 2018 LEAF will come in at an extremely reasonable price of only $30,875. Notably, that includes the destination charge. This means that not only is it a performance wonder, but it also manages to shockingly arrive at a lower entry point than the 2017 model. Sensational!
