2021 mazda3 for sale in kelowna, bcThe 2021 Mazda3 is unique among small sedans and hatchbacks because it offers both front and all-wheel drive and manual or shiftable automatic transmissions. In other words, Mazda3 shoppers are spoiled for choice.

What are the Options?

Front-wheel drive is standard on all 2021 Mazda3 trims, except the 100th Anniversary Edition, which only comes with i-Activ AWD. This 4x4 system relies on sensors to measure force and send torque to the appropriate axles. It is also optional on the GS and GT versions of the sedan and hatchback.

Why Choose FWD?

The front-wheel-drive Mazda3s get better fuel economy. They sip gas at a rate of 6.4 (manual) to 6.6 (automatic) L / 100 km on the highway. AWD increases those figures to between 7.0 (regular engine) and 7.5 (turbo).

If efficiency matters, FWD offers an advantage. However, these vehicles do not provide the same handling and bad-weather performance as their 4x4 peers.

Why Choose AWD?

Mazda's i-Activ all-wheel drive does increase fuel usage by a bit. However, it also adds to the overall level of control. On wet, snowy, or icy roads, this drivetrain is safer than one that only provides power to the front axle.

A Chance to Personalize Your Ride

The best option depends on your specific needs. The good thing about the 2021 Mazda3 is that the finely-tuned suspension, responsive Skyactiv engines, and the glut of high-tech safety features are available regardless of your drivetrain choice.
