The 2021 Mazda3 is a five-seat compact vehicle that stands out because of its sporty performance. The two base trims, the GX and GS, boast a 2.0L Skyactiv I-4 engine. Meanwhile, a larger 2.5L version of this motor is standard on the GT. Thanks to these powertrains, the 2021 Mazda3 is among the best in the compact car market. The turbocharged variation provides 250 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft of torque when fed premium 93 octane fuel and 227 hp and 310 lb.-ft using standard gas.Â
This I-4 relies on a six-speed automatic transmission. Owners who want a hands-on experience will be happy to know that there is a manual mode, activated by a drive selection switch. Both 2021 Mazda3 GT with Turbo and 100th Anniversary Edition come with a paddle shifter.Â
