certainly a mixed bag for weather on our last flotilla completely in 2012 (the NEW YEAR's event crosses to 2013 of course)

it started with the renaming ceremony SATURDAY morning for GENA II ~ ensuring the gods would be kind to her with the new name (and ensuring she wouldn't sink enroute to our first destination)  (KEY WORD for the morning: libations)

GENA II ~ undersail with her newly minted name (ENGLISH BAY)

CORENIA making her way up the NORTH SHORE (ENGLISH BAY)

in preparation for the POTLUCK dinner, new owner BRIAN & assitante ALEX prepared the PRINCESS PATRICIA to receive guests

and let the POTLUCK begin - testing the limits to the capacity of the WESTCOAST 46'

watch the carpet please says new owner BRIAN!

lots of tasty treats and the boat at absolute capacity

WAYNE is happy because he's so much taller than SEAN - we're not sure why SEAN is happy - must be the food

a few laughs on the sundeck of PRINCESS PATRICIA

more POTLUCK fun

WOODY had a great time not having sunk on the way over thanks in part to the official re-naming ceremony that morning ~ he also gave specific orders to eat all the LASAGNA so he wouldn't have to pack it back on the plane (reminders of that great cat GARFIELD?)

the next morning saw getting the boats out with no room to spare thanks to the arrival of the fishing fleet overnight

SHADOWFAX squeezes out with millimeters to spare

and CORENIA follows with at least an inch or two more to spare

we abandoned plans for SMUGGLER's COVE and headed up around GAMBIER ISLAND and back to SNUG COVE

after a lively night dockside at SNUG that saw STRAY CAT reposition from one side of the government dock to the other to minimize the bouncing - PRINCESS PATRICIA weathered the windward side of the dock all night and watched a couple movies

the this morning we left SNUG COVE and headed back to GRANVILLE ISLAND - all 7 flotilla boats are now tucked in back at GRANVILLE ISLAND

CATCH YOU AT THE NEXT EVENT!
