HOW TO BECOME A FUNDER
Sign Up To Start Funding
Start by signing in and creating a user profile on CFIC.ai or sign in using your FaceBook, Google+, LinkedIn or Twitter social media account.
Verification
Once your email is verified you can begin populating your profile.
Populate Your Profile
Tell us a little bit about yourself and upload a picture. You may remain anonymous or you can share your profile with the rest of the CFIC crowd. At this stage you will also be asked for more detailed information regarding your funder status and to select the type of funder you are. Are you and accredited / sophisticated funder or a part of the non-accredited crowd. Once you have completed populating your profile and signed off on the Terms and Conditions you will need to submit your profile for approval.
Browse Business Listings
You can check out the funding proposals, and determine if you have any interest in funding a particular business or multiple businesses.
Business Listing Verification
Information for listed businesses will be vetted by a third party to ensure that the business exists and operates. We recommend that you conduct your own due diligence on any businesses you are interested in participating in, and if you require further information or verification that you forward your request to business@cfic.ai. We will then reach out to the business to facilitate your request and to document for other funders.
Make Your Funding Committment
At this stage the platform will accept commitments for funding. Once enough commitments are received to fully fund all funders will be contacted with instructions for wire transfer their funds directly to the Trust Company.
Funding Target Success
Once the Trust Company has received all funds, they will be held in escrow, the offer will close and documents will be processed. Once this is all completed, closing documents will be fully executed and returned to funders, and the funds will be released to the business.
Funding Target Not Met
If 100% of the funding target is not fully completed, all funds will be returned.
