Surfers, rejoice! The season of wild waves has begun!

Jaco oceanographers are reporting exceptional crests along the Central Pacific. Low pressure systems have collided, pushing the water to new heights and creating strong currents. A visible wave train has been seen along Herradura Bay, Manuel Antonio, Playa Esterillos and other Costa Rica hot-spots.

Surfing enthusiasts can barrel-roll again and again in these powerful crests. Caution is recommended, however, for inexperienced sportsmen. These conditions are known to bring rip-tides and those unfamiliar with the Jaco coast can find themselves caught in dangerous situations. Be aware of all surroundings and never venture into the water alone.
