Los Suenos is famed for its catch-and-release sports.
During the week of May 15 to May 22, however, edible fishing proved to be the more popular option. Anglers arriving to the Central Pacific found their lines taut and their plates full.
A new wave of Cubera Snappers and Rainbow Runners flooded the Los Suenos shoreline. Charter ships reported staggering numbers of these breeds, with crews and passengers alike barely able to keep up with them. Ones that were caught were fileted to perfection and this led to a tasty boom for local restaurants.
The Snappers and Rainbows are expected to remain in Los Suenos throughout the month of May. Those wishing to catch them should hurry down to the coast.
