The Sentra gets a lot from its 1.8L four-cylinder engine. There are a capable 130 horses and 128-lb.-ft. of torque to play with, but the fuel economy is what’s truly sensational. The 2013 SV model receives 30 MPG within the Seattle city limits and a whopping 39 on the highway. The Altima receives a lot of Nissan-related headlines, but if you’re searching for another superlative sedan selection, consider the Sentra. Standout aspects of this car include its penchant for safety considerations and its wide range of luxurious interior amenities.


The 2013 Sentra SL is enhanced by electronic brake-force distribution and front disc-rear drum ABS. This means that no matter how quickly the 1.8L four-cylinder engine is propelling the car down Seattle roads, you should have more than adequate stopping power at your disposal. The Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) acknowledges how special the vehicle is in this respect, too. Ready to jump into a new-to-you Nissan vehicle? You should be! YouTuber “Gold Pony” offers a rundown of all the trims of the 2016 Sentra and he is mightily impressed. A self-professed fan, he details the absolutely feature-loaded SL model.


There are a ton of nifty features on the upscale Sentra SL, ranging from the safety-oriented to the comfort-inspired. In regards to the former, the hood of the car offers a crumple zone that automatically works to absorb the impact of a collision and keep passengers secure. Additionally, the side breakaway mirrors fold back to reduce damage when coming into contact with any object. They also serve to make it easier to fit into tight parking spots.

As mentioned, there are many comfort inclusions within this sedan, too. The back row features stadium seating, keeping rear passengers more connected to the front and effectively reducing motion sickness. The perforated leather cushions with blue-accented stitching help the heated functionality work more quickly. And of course, all SV and higher trim models of the Sentra also come with Nissan Intelligent Key.
