This means you’re getting the thrill of stick driving merged with 130 horses and 128-lb.-ft. of torque—plenty for a car of this class. Perhaps the spec that stands out most here, however, is the fuel economy. The EPA estimates you’ll receive an average MPG of 29 city / 38 highway.
 
There are a number of smart inclusions throughout the cabin that provide a strong dose of convenience. First, that speed we were talking about. The “Turbo” in this 2017 Nissan Sentra’s moniker means something. There’s a charged-up 1.6L I4 engine in this model that we feel confident will outperform your expectations. It delivers 188 HP and 177-lb.-ft. of torque. You’ll be going a long way between fill-ups at the gas station, as well. Average highway MPG for this sedan is 33.

There’s a lot going on inside the Sentra SR Turbo. The cabin is refined. Above, a sliding/tilting express sunroof lets in natural light and a cool breeze. As you’re seated, premium cloth trim feels great, and driver lumbar support treats your lower back right. The Sentra 2.0 caters to enthusiasts who want to be in control at all times. The six-speed manual transmission provides for this, allowing you to drive stick. The powerplant holds up its end of the bargain, as well. It offers 140 horses at 5,100 revolutions per minute (RPM) and 147-lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 RPM. The EPA also estimates that you’ll benefit from a spectacular 27 city / 34 highway average MPG, meaning you won’t have to stop for gas often.

The 2012 Nissan Sentra is great for passenger security, as well. It received a four-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The plaudits get even better when you examine the individual categories. The car nabbed five out of five in the Front Seat, Driver, and Overall Side Pole tests.
