All told, you’re in for a satisfying and comfortable driving experience.
 

First, the engine. The 2016 Sentra SL is outfitted with a highly capable 1.8L four-cylinder motor and a six-speed manual transmission. This means you’re getting the thrill of stick driving merged with 130 horses and 128-lb.-ft. of torque—plenty for a car of this class. Perhaps the spec that stands out most here, however, is the fuel economy. The EPA estimates you’ll receive an average MPG of 29 city / 38 highway.
 
There are a number of smart inclusions throughout the cabin that provide a strong dose of convenience. Leather cushions with contrast stitching serve up heated functionality to cut through the chill of fall and winter evenings. Ready to jump into a new-to-you Nissan vehicle? You should be! YouTuber “Gold Pony” offers a rundown of all the trims of the 2016 Sentra and he is mightily impressed. A self-professed fan, he details the absolutely feature-loaded SL model.


There are a ton of nifty features on the upscale Sentra SL, ranging from the safety-oriented to the comfort-inspired. In regards to the former, the hood of the car offers a crumple zone that automatically works to absorb the impact of a collision and keep passengers secure. Additionally, the side breakaway mirrors fold back to reduce damage when coming into contact with any object. They also serve to make it easier to fit into tight parking spots.

As mentioned, there are many comfort inclusions within this sedan, too. The back row features stadium seating, keeping rear passengers more connected to the front and effectively reducing motion sickness. The perforated leather cushions with blue-accented stitching help the heated functionality work more quickly. And of course, all SV and higher trim models of the Sentra also come with Nissan Intelligent Key. One push on the handles lets the consumer access the driver-side door; two presses unlocks all the entry points. A light beep is heard whenever you lock your car, providing peace of mind.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra SR has been refreshed, and consumer reviews channel “Autobytel” tackles the process of thoroughly detailing each of these customer-focused changes. The compact sedan has much to offer, including an attractive, revised exterior.


The 2016 Sentra SR benefits from the addition of the distinguished “V-Motion” front grille, which lends an aggressiveness to the car and also brings cohesion between it and the design of the rest of Nissan’s lineup.
