Competition dominates the hybrid market - with brands trying to earn consumer approval, battling each other with every mile. This is a niche vertical and each sale proves critical.

AutoBlog reports that both the 2018 LEAF and the 2018 Bolt were recently pitted against one another in the ultimate safety showdown. The European New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) tested each platform in a series of front, side, and rear collision scenarios - observing both their structural integrities and the response times of their automated technologies. When the dust cleared, there was one definitive winner: Nissan.

NCAP praised the LEAF and its innovative technologies - including its comprehensive airbag suite.
