As the JD Power team explains, the new Titan XD offers two engines - a traditional combustible powerpoint and a diesel alternative. Letâ€™s examine them both:

Traditional

The 5.6L Endurance V8 delivers exceptional strength - generating 390 HP (5,800 RPM) and 394 lb.-ft of torque (at 4,000 RPM). It pairs a fluid seven-speed automatic transmission with a robust RWD; and this ensures class-leading towing capabilities (up to 11,600 pounds of conventional trailering and 2,910 payload pounds) while on the backroads.

Alternative

The 5.0L Diesel V8 combines enhanced turbocharges with a potent 32-valve design to increase air intake levels. This allows it to deliver 310 HP (at 3,200 RPM) and 555 lb.-ft of torque (at 1,600 RPM). Its low redlines ensure optimum traction, with the truck quickly activating its high-range gear ratios on even the toughest terrains. This promotes stable control when hauling up to 11,280 pounds of conventional trailering and 2,710 pounds of payloads.Â
