March 20th marked the first day of spring - a season of rebirth and regrowth. But, it's also the season when the highly-anticipated 2018 Nissan Kicks will hit dealership lots. First unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Kicks drummed up a great deal of excitement from subcompact SUV fans, especially since this new vehicle is set to replace the now defunct (and somewhat polarizing) Nissan Juke. Models will be available for test driving as soon as June 2018.

The Nissan Kicks will be anchored by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which will produce 125 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque. Aided by a smooth and efficient Xtronic transmission, the Kicks is expected to achieve fuel economy ratings near 33 mpg combined. It will be offered in front-wheel drive only, which will help keep its efficiency ratings on the higher end.

The 2018 Nissan Kicks will be offered in three well-equipped trims - the S, SV and SR. Among the list of standard features found on the base grade are Automatic Emergency Braking, a Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, three USB ports, roof rails and Intelligent Auto Headlights with adjustable sensitivity and timing (including twilight and wiper activation).

Inside, the Kicks promises a quality interior boasting a futuristic design, complete with a cabin full of the innovative features expected by its tech-hungry target audience. All trim levels will feature a 7-inch color infotainment system, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for added connectivity. Blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning and an around-view monitor are also standard.
