Standard on the Sport S, Overland, Mojave, and Rubicon trim levels is a 3.6-litre V6 engine. Manufactured by Pentastar, this motor uses Variable Valve Timing and your choice of either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. Delivering 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, it can haul up to 2,041 kg (4,50 lbs). You can also expect to get around 12.6 L/100 km (22 mpg) combined.
 

If you prefer an alternative to conventional gasoline, then you can opt for the 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6. Available on the Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon models, it comes with ESS and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Producing 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, it can tow up to 2,948 kg (6,500 lbs) without breaking a sweat. As for the fuel economy, it gets about 9.8 L/100 km (29 mpg) combined.
