Since the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a plug-in hybrid, you might be wondering if it is as strong as its gasoline-powered siblings. The answer to that is an emphatic yes!
Â
Housing a turbocharged 2.0-litre PHEV engine that is paired with a 400-volt 17kWh lithium-ion battery pack, all of these models push out 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the 8-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4x4 drivetrain, this ride can do anything a conventional Wrangler can do. It can even tow up to 1,588 kgs (3,500 lbs) which is unheard of for this class.
Â
To replenish the energy stores, all you have to do is hook the Wrangler 4xe up with a Level I (120-volt) or II (240-volt) charging cord. You can also activate eSave Mode to reduce the amount of energy you use. This is ideal for waiting out rush hour traffic.
