First-time Track Day participants might be a little anxious to get on the course with seasoned racers. However, if you follow these guidelines, you will be able to complete the event safely while having a blast at the same time.

The night before and the morning of, you should take the time to check your vehicle. Tire pressure is one of the most important things. Ensuring that there is no leak can keep you out of the gravel.

If you intend to drive your racer to Area 27 for the Track Day Event in Oliver, BC, then you should drop the tire pressure before you get on the circuit. The average tire pressure for the racetrack is about 29PSI. However, a higher PSI is needed to safely drive on the street. You can see your owner’s manual for the precise number.

Another tip to remember is that a clockwise track will cause tire pressure to rise more rapidly on the left-hand tires than the right-hand ones. You should also take the time to check the oil, fuel, and water levels before you take off.
