Latest Ford News In Penticton BC
The all-new generation of F-150s are special, sure. But this time around, things get “extra special” with the addition of the sensational, electrifying (literally) Hybrid model. It’s going to make you reevaluate how you think of trucks forever.

There are many things to wax poetic about regarding the 2021 F-150 Hybrid, but it’s the powertrain which is so immensely impressive and that takes precedence over all others. The twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine is the first-ever gas-electric powertrain in the entire history of the F-150 series. It utilizes a 1.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery matched to a   35-kilowatt electric motor to produce ample power—enough, in fact, to create a 12,000-pound towing ability. There’s also a limited all-electric range available; the overall range impresses at 700 miles/1125 km on a full tank.

The electric power and massive towing ability aren’t this truck’s only tricks. There’s an available interior work surface for when you’re out of office but need to get something done; it’s great for your laptop and assorted gear.

“Get more out of your truck!” That’s a slogan you often hear repeated in certain circles, but the reality is, it’s a goal that’s not often realized by many manufacturers. Ford, however, is ready to buck that trend with the new 2021 F-150.

There’s so much on offer with this all-new generation of F-150s that we’re forced to only hit the highlights—but oh, what highlights they are. SYNC 4 is standard, bringing with it even more technological prowess over the outgoing SYNC 3 software. Now, drivers will enjoy cloud-based connectivity, voice recognition, and even a digital owner’s manual with streamable how-to videos and a breakout of vehicle health and diagnostics. Further, SYNC 4 will become even better over time thanks to over-the-air updates.

That’s not all, though. The 2021 F-150 offers available zone lighting on the exterior for superior illumination surrounding the vehicle at night, promoting safety and ease of access. Additionally, available max recline seats fold almost entirely flat for when you need a snooze after a long day on the job site.

Sometimes, it’s not enough to build a good truck—just ask Ford. After all, the Big Blue Oval brand has never believed that “good” is good enough, and this time around with the F-150, they’ve endeavored to craft a machine that’s thoroughly ahead of its time. Fortunately, they’ve succeeded.

The 2021 F-150 Hybrid pulls upon everything Ford’s learned over generations in order to be the best truck it can be. Smart features include an interior work surface designed expressly for getting the job done, enabling you to set up your laptop and other tech gear when you want to get down to business. There’s also available rear-locking under-seat storage to store your stuff when it’s not in use. Plus, when work is complete, the available max recline seats certainly come in handy for a snooze.

Of course, the 2021 F-150 Hybrid is true to its name. It is packed with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that’s paired with a 1.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and a 35-kilowatt electric motor. The result? An overall range of 700 miles/1125 km on a full tank of gas.

It’s been 17 years. Almost two decades since last we’ve seen it. And now, we’re on the cusp of experiencing true power and performance again, the likes of which can only be enjoyed when behind the wheel of the exceptional Ford Mustang Mach 1.

The all-new 2021 Mustang Mach 1 is headed to Canadian dealerships in spring 2021, and in the interim, we want to ensure you’re up to speed regarding this limited-edition muscle car. The long-and-short of it is this—if you’re into speed, this is the machine for you. It is packed with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that pushes out an exciting 480 horses at 7,000 rpm and 420 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,600 rpm. It’s both fast and incredibly nimble, ensuring you’ll be able to handle the curves with the same aplomb as you do the straightaways. Also, yes, a six-speed manual transmission with rev matching comes standard—this is an enthusiast’s car, after all.

You thought you “knew” the Mustang, sure—and then Ford completely upended that notion this year with the all-electric 2021 Mustang Mach-E Select. It’s something entirely different but nonetheless spectacular—and we have the scoop below.

While this may be an electric SUV, the Select trim of the all-new Mach-E stands as a sharp reminder of all that the pony car brand is capable of. Yes, it’s the base trim of this Mustang variant, but it’s nonetheless impressive, with AWD and RWD setups coming with a 230-mile/370-km range. Once you do run out of juice, it’s simple to charge up via the 120V and 240V outlets; plus, there’s an available at-home charging solution! It offers an additional 30 miles/48 km of average range per hour.

One more important tidbit: This is a mighty speedy machine for being an entry-level trim. In fact, you’ll be able to race from 0 to 60 MPH in the mid-five-second range. Exceptional!

Onboard generator, anyone?

That’s right. Ford’s thought outside the box to put a generator inside the all-new 2021 F-150. The Big Blue Oval has really outdone themselves here! The truck’s Pro Power Onboard generator system’s base arrangement supplies an impressive 2.0 kW of electrical capacity—this configuration is exclusive on gas-only F-150s. That 2.0 kW alone can power items such as a TV, mini-fridge, speakers, electric heater, and more, all at the same time. And the Hybrid models come standard with an increased 2.4-kW capacity that can do even more.

Even more power is available, however. The hybrid F-150 offers an available upgrade to a 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard unit. This configuration supplies one 240-volt outlet and four 120-volt plugs that can juice up an air compressor, plasma cutter, chop saw, TiG welder, and more, all at once!

In our most recent “Latest News” post, we spoke about the excitement generated around the new Mustang Mach-E, the all-electric SUV that's set to shake up the segment later this year. However, the Mach-E isn’t the only new 2021 ‘Stang on the way, and for those looking for a more traditional pony car, you won’t be able to go wrong with the Mach 1.

The new 2021 Mach 1 eschews electric or hybrid fanciness; instead, Ford relies on tried-and-true magic. This is an old-school sports machine in a familiar package—a fastback coupe that is set to thrill with a conventional gasoline 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces a wild 480 horses at 7,000 rpm and 420 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,600 rpm. Thanks to the incredible handling, this pony car is as impressive whipping around turns as it is shooting down straightaways, and purists will experience a shiver of delight as they operate the standard six-speed manual transmission.

It’s been 17 years since the Mach 1 has seen the shores of either Canada or the U.S., and we can’t wait for this limited-edition machine to arrive in spring 2021.

Powerful. Poised. And… electric? That’s right, B.C.! The 2021 Mustang Mach-E is arriving on our Penticton lot soon, and this souped-up new SUV will come bearing all-electric performance.

A Mustang that’s both electric and an SUV is something that seems almost outlandish, but trust us when we say you’re going to be impressed. Standard-range Mach-E versions will produce 266 horsepower/198 kw with 428 lb-ft and 317 lb-ft of torque for the AWD and RWD versions, respectively. All standard-range variants will also deliver approximately 230 miles of driving range.

The 2021 Mustang Mach-E will also be available in extended-range iterations. The AWD version will produce approximately 346 horsepower/258 kilowatts and 428 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel-drive models will pitch in and do their part by offering 290 horsepower/216 kw and 317 lb-ft of torque. Needless to say, performance will be plentiful across the board.
