The Siren Song of the British Virgin Islands in the sweet Caribbean is calling to us again! We Canadian sailors need a bit of sun, sand, surf and sailing before the Christmas season hits our west coast. It's Cooper Boating FLOTILLA time!! December 3 to 13th 2011.
This year we are going to arrive on the island of Tortola on Saturday the 3rd of December in the afternoon OR if you can get an early flight, the morning of Sunday Dec.4th, 2011.The flotilla schedule is for ten days so we'll be departing the boats on the 13th of December, 2011.
Our itinerary will take us to all the favorite stops and spots .... the Baths for snorkeling, Norman Bight, the Indians for diving, Virgin Gorda Sound, White Bay and Sandy Cay, and socializing in Cane Garden Bay!
Charter your own boat with friends and family OR join one of the boats with a mentoring skipper from the Canadian Yachting Association and work on mileage and certifications if so desired.

Congratulations to Marla Hedman and Stephen DesRoches, our first two TOP FUN instructors - celebrated last night at our annual pre-season instructor meeting.   Marla and Stephen have been working - occasionally as a team as you will see here - to generate spectacular courses here at Cooper.  We have to admit some of their feats can only be described as 'magic' - but keep up the great work and here's hoping the magic dust washes over to the 'runners up' and our new instructors!

We also want to congratulate the batch of 'freshly minted' instructors from the January class under the guidance of David West

The November class, led by Oliver Woolcock and James Johnstone were a bit camera shy except for this burn around the bay on a Farr 40.

Wait a moment - FARR 40? - perhaps this group is well on their way to TOP FUN status?
